People with EX's...

I just have a question if anybody has replaced their front sway bar to the progress sway bar...if so, did you notice a difference when you did that, and do you still have the oem sway bar from your ex...

...i currently have a dx and i am replacing the exhaust with the ex header, downpipe and catback...but to do this, i need to replace the front sway bar to clear the cat...

...someone please let me know...

I do still have it, but when I sell my car I'm sure the new owners will want it back in the car (most people dont deal well with a car that oversteers at its limits).

^You really should add the disadvantages as well. I'm telling you ZZ noobs are going to read that as better handling period, do it, and spin their civic out on the freeway at 90mph. Yeah, it's much better at low speeds, but for street-only I don't think its worth it.

True, true...

I autocross with my car. And for better performance in that type of racing, I've done some things with my suspension that may or may not be Safe on the street. What I've done, or at least tried to do, is set up my car to Handle well for Slower Speed corners (Like those incountered in autocross). The down side of this is that at higher speeds the car will want to oversteer more in a turn, not really a bad thing so long as you dont do any thing to make it worse, but Most peoples basic instincts are the exact wrong things to do in an oversteer situation.

One forgotten Fact... The more you tune your cars suspension to improve handling, the less forgiving that car will be to your driving mistakes.

Very true. Good to know, for all us budding suspension tweakers.

Exactly. People need to realize that on the street there are variables that you don't have to worry about on the track. I helped a friend setup a 6th gen for low speed cornering and one minute after weird weather, weird traffic, and weird construction debris all at the same time, resulted in a good driver spinning across the freeway and ruining it all. A little understeer at the limits is better on the street IMO, just not as severe as Honda puts out stock.

I replaced my 02 ex front sway with the progress one... with the progress rear... I noticed that the car is stiffer in corners and leans quite a bit less. Ride quality has suffered a bit, but that could also be due to blown shocks.

trading my dx front sway bar for your ex front sway bar? if it's just sitting around your house...that would be awesome...
