pushbutton start?
I've only seen it once, and it was in a featured car in Honda Tuning a few months ago. Anyone know details of these and how hard they are to come by? Upsides, downsides, etc.? If it's not horribly expensive it might be my first large mod. Thanks in advance.

Pretty easy DIY but time consuming.
3 wires coming out from s2000 starter button(OEM). one foR ground, power and starter wire. I got power and ground from cig plug wire. Then last wire is just directly tapped into starter wire(black and white) from ignition plug(brown).

Only problem with them is that they are somewhat risky in that anyone can start your car at any time. It would be better to tap into the actual ignition wires on the steering column so that the key has to be in the ignition to start. That way you don't lose the need for the key and the transponder chip.

here is mine with my turbo timer...custom install...the 02's have a pocket on the bottom of that piece...turbo time is in there....i still have to use the key to turn on ignition, then i can push the botton to start....
I installed mine and you had to have the key in the ignition but it did not have to be turned. Also, I completely unplugged the wires in the steering column so that you could not turn the key to start the car. You can get a part off of the internet that will completely bypass the immobilizer and you will not need a key at all, but that is truely asking for someone to steal your car. But to combat this, I did the hidden DIY Fuel-pump cutoff switch.
And I don't see why you still won't be able to start the car with this installed.
