03 ex m/t vs accord i4 5m

Ran against my friend's 03 accord i4 5m with my 03 ex 5m. He has an aem cai, dc headers, and i have an aem cai, dc headers and an apexi ws catback. I caught a better launch and took a fender gap of lead......then after that he pulled hard and was over rather quickly. I didnt give up and went for it till the end, but the gap increased and i ended up losing by about 4 car lengths in the 1320. Expectable, correct? ive raced 6th gen 5m and i've only lost by about 1/2 car lengths....but the k24 of the 7th gens haul its *** rather nicely.

Nice death.

The new Accords are considerably quicker than they were before. Sheesh, the V6 6-speed can take a stock Integra Type R in the 1/4.

It would be a close race though I'd put my money on the Accord since it's got DAYS of low end power over the ITR.

Fastest stock ITR hit 14.6 but the new DC5R would beat the Accord. It can do 14.2.

Accords have existed as long as Civics? I thought Civics were 1gen older?
