Misuse of License Plate
My EG got impounded the other day because one of my ******* neighbours reported it as abandoned. I had to get it off the driveway because we were having guests over this past weekend (don't ask me why they couldn't park on the street, because I have no idea) so I just threw the first active plate I had on it. It was only there for a few days, but that paired with me being away from my house for about 30 hours allowed them to put a notice on my car and then impound it.
Long story short, car was impounded, I paid the fee (which was ****ing ridiculous) and now it's back in my driveway. Got cited for misuse of license plate. Since it was a parked vehicle, I'm assuming then that it isn't a moving violation, which means my premium/demerits aren't affected? Anyone able to provide any info? Everything I've read on it suggests I'm fine but I'm apprehensive about the whole thing.
EDIT: Called the insurance company and it's dealt with now. Luckily, it's not going to affect my premium in any way.

Re: Misuse of License Plate
I have a few, but there's this one neighbour that hates us all haha.
But $800 later (ticket + impound fee), I got my $500 car back. *facepalm*
I would have left it there but the tow alone was $300 because they were there for 2 hours trying to unlock the stupid thing! Biggest ripoff I've ever seen in my life, but I didn't have much of a choice but to pay it at that point
