Rep Power: 267 do points matter?
Ok just curious say you've got 2 speeding tickets and 1 was 4 points and the other was 0 points, Now would an insurance company hold the speeding ticket with zero points against you or does it not count since there were no demerit points?? This might be a stupid question but I was just curious since i am in this situation.

Rep Power: 0 You can only get a certian amount of points until your lic is suspended...Your insurance company shouldnt raise your rates if the ticket wasnt for a moving violation (ie. parking ticket, cracked windshield)

Rep Power: 0 Just to clarify, a speeding ticket only has points if it is for travelling 16 km/hr over the speed limit. My guess is that the officer gave you ticket for 15 over....$52.50 and no points.
Dont hold me to this, but if you were a preferred status client with you insurance company, 1 conviction strips you of the discounted premium.
If you receive 4 minor offence convictions (including speeding up to 49 km/hr) than expect your insurance to increase by %25.
Every insurance company is different, but thats generally the rule.
FYI, insurance companys are not really interested in points, the Ministry of Transportation is.
