My 2k1civic VS 2000 Prelude
Sup there, guess wut?!?!?i lost!...i may sound happy about this but...funny thing about it is that...we were pretty evened up..... well heres the story........well for those of you who live in cali, my team were soppose to go to sears point...but we got lock down by the cops before we even got there...well...we meet up with this other team and headed to a industrul(SP) and it was perfect more than a mile long.....then we mark the 1/4mile...then a guy came up to me and ask if i wanted to run with him and i was like dang...a prelude??...i had nothing to lose but i said sure...so we line up...(oh his was auto like mine....he's was stock...mine i only had a AEM SRI ) when we lineed up i heald my brake while presses the gas and lined it up to 3500rpm ..(it works!...dunno if it matters with the tires but i had rims and wider tires) well when the falger drop his hands my car had a quick jump and i was ahead of him about a car length then half way we were even up then slowly he got a head of me by half a car length....
so.....to cut this short....for those of u who think are cars are slow...there pretty fast.......well..i dunno...i tweak with my car alot and do lil things...i'll try and post pis of my car so you know wut i mean when i tweak with my car...trust me...you'll see wut i mean........ONE!

Yeah, the newer prelude witht he 200hp engine will roast a 2k1. auto or not. so choose your races wisely. (and dont race an S2000) people in civics always do that to me.

Club RSX has a video of the two racing as proof in the RSX vs. All forum. Once the new Z is released, the S2000 is toast.

and with the 350Z starting at 27k.. i duno.. honda's gota shape up.
what would be a good idea tho.. is to make a turbo version of the S2000..
or.. put the CLTypeS engine in the s2000.. hmm
<< a stick prelude SH would have handed your 2k1's *** to you on a silver platter. The H22A outperforms the D block in every category. >>
Correction the Prelude S has the same engine, but less weight then the SH therefore theoretically it should be faster

Rep Power: 400 Honda does realize the power of V6's. What do you call the NSX? And regardless, I think it's pretty amazing that a 2.0 liter engine can toast most v6's and v8's, pulls 240hp, and redlines at 9,000rpm. And yeah, the Z has a lot more power than my car, and weighs roughly the same. As for your nissan altima... sorry, that doesn't beat an S. However, the M5 does... family car that goes 0-60 in like 4.8 seconds. sick.

Go there and see for yourself. Both cars are STOCK. The S2k is a torqueless bitch, just like all other Hondas suffer from. However, there has been an increase in the Civic for the 7th gen, and if Honda wants to play it smart, there gonna have to increase it in ALL there models.

Rep Power: 400 The S2000 weighs around 3100 or so if I remember right. I'd have to look in my manual. As for torque, the S has a lot more than the predecessors. around 184lbs. But none the less, torque is for fat people. As for the altima, it's not to say that someone can't f*uck it up and have a bad race. I've had my share. If I dont do it right I'll lose to a rustang. how horrible!

wow you must have one of those special S2000's, last I checked regular S2000's had only 153 torque and only weighed 2810 lbs

Rep Power: 0 wow, the 200hp prelude what a fast car, it will roast a civic.....were do you guys get your info....first of all 200hp would mean a lot if the two cars weights where the same.....the reason why the prelude run's low 16's and not any better is because it weighs a ton.....a civic ex will run high 16's with a good driver.....you guys need to go to the track and watch people struggle all day to try to put that pig into the 15's.....it's just not that fast.......
