do you need a front liscences plate or not?? my friend got a ticket for not having one once.. but it got dropped... got one agian and he had to pay for it this time.. yet i always see corvettes driving around with out them.. whats the law on front plates?? if you have in on your dash is that ok?

It is fine in your front windshield as long as it is fully visible by a cop car. But yes you do have to have plates in the front and back......in Iowa at least

depending on your state. some states say even thought in your front wind shield they ticket you b/c not on the bumper.

Depends most importantly on the State and secondly on the cop. A strict cop will ticket you for not having it on your bumper, whereas a lax cop might say have it in the winshield is sufficient. The law in NY states that it must be affixed to the front of the car without any glass or plastic over it. I have a wings west kit, so I just took the front plate and placed it inside the mesh so that you can see it, but it is hidden some what. If you get multiple tickets as well for the same thing(Plate), the judge will worsen the penalty everytime, so watch out.

i have a xenon body kit there really isnt a place for it.. and they look ugly.. and wtf... corvettes get away with it.. i NEVER see a vette with a front liscences plate.. thats how my friends ticket got dropped the first time.. cuz his dad took pictures of all these vettes with out front ones.. so the judge dropped it.. but he wasnt lucky the 2nd time

check with your local police department. if you are required to display a front licence plate and dont have one, its probable cause for a police officer to pull you over. better be safe then sorry.

IMO -
honda = cheap, kids.
corvette = expensive, adults.

I think the oldtimer cops respect the American Mussle car and have no respect for the imports, just my opinion.

ya cops are stupid... im from lancaster newyork... like buffalo... it sucks here... i have all this stuff sitting ready to go on my car.. but i refuse to put anything on until winter passes cuz our winters suck so bad... ya cops probally do have kids more so they pull us over instead of vettes... damn cop
