the future of law enforcement! Personally, I cannot WAIT to see this locally. The article is right...cops have a LOT to do while they are behind the wheel, and anything that can make the job that much safer...well, I'm all for it. Maybe they'll be here by April, when I finish the academy lol. God this is taking a long time...

Rep Power: 294 yea that is a great advancement in technology. i remember when they first began to toy with that idea a few years ago, there were a series of articles. They developed it right there at UNH, and many NHSP cruisers are using them. i know we use just regular laptops (MDT) but they certainly dont activate the lights etc for us. being right here in maine, maybe we'll get them soon!

Rep Power: 0 In Maricopa County (AZ) we dont even have laptops in our cars. We do our reports at the substation or on our own laptop. I havent heard of this new system before this and it is a great idea. Im gonna pass this article up to my supervisor and we'll see what happens.
