Any advice would be great

Hi all
I'm selling my 1998 Honda civic. I'm looking for new ride and don't know alot about these cars to be honest. I am getting about. 500-550 km per tank which is pretty darn good I think. I was thinking to get a tdi but I'm afraid of the repair costs. I commute from the valley to Vancouver. We're looking for 2008 and newer. What's a better year in that group? Does anyone have mileage stats per fill?2 door coupe vs sedan? Thanks in advance
