CF interior pieces!

Re: CF interior pieces!
Do you know how much top of the line products cost? I buy my resin from a place in fl that makes full cf race car shells that can withstand 500 degrees. That means no yellowing, cracks, oxidation, fading, or stress cracking from the heat. Triz is just some kid wrapping parts out of his house, he is not a reliable business. I also dont appreciate him comming in my thread earlier telling members that he will do it for cheaper, that may be the case but when it yellows and cracks in a month or two Ill be sure to tell you or the others who went through him I told you so. This is my thread and since this is about me becomming a sponsor he should stay out of it, otherwise I will talk to a modd about him running a secret business and they will shut it down real quick or make him become a sponsor like the rest of us.
Over on another site some amateur was wrapping members part, they got in over their head and took months getting parts back to them. They also clamed they used "top of the line stuff" so they thought and it yellowed within 4 weeks of them geting the parts back. Others the cf seperated from the part itself and warpped.
What kind of resin is triz using? ester? vynil ester? polyester? Do you know how he is laying the cf? dry infused? (probably not) wet layup? Does he even have a vac system to get the cf to lay down correctly? You may want to get answers to all that b/c that will determine the quality of the part and how long it will last. You get what you pay for and Im gonna leave it at that.

This is just uncalled for, given the above info.
Your post actually kind of ticked me off, so I read through it again and noticed that you first said this was about your company…
When I look up your business, I come across a company in Colorado, and one in Florida by that name. Being you posted in the Florida forum once before, I checked that out. The “About us” section says they started in 1997, which would make you 11 years old. Do you own the company- probably not, although I may be wrong- and if I am, its because you don’t have a website. And if you work there, it seems like your really trying to do this on the side and use your companies name to kick-start your rep here on the forum.
Now, the pictures you posted don’t seem like they were taken inside and/or just outside of your shop. In fact, it looks like your kitchen and parking lot of an apartment. I like the prints on your paper towels.
Looking further, I see that you were pretty psyched back in the day when you posted about getting the glassman dvd’s (which give you step by step instructions on how to fiberglass, make molds, do overlays and all that). I’m having a little trouble understanding that if you have a lot of experience doing this stuff-- just a few months ago you were buying these how-to dvd’s-- and now your able to make race car quality parts? (btw, I responded in your forsale thread, its been 1 week+. I’ve concluded that you must not want to sell to me because its really not that difficult to manage your threads--but don’t bother looking it up - I don’t think I want to buy from you anymore anyways)
Hmm… So anyways. Aside from all of that, I liked the fact you went and posted this thread with examples of your work, but after that I really didn’t like the way you’ve come across- which is completely arrogant. Then someone comes in with a bogus post and you go off on me like that? What do you know about me… what have you read, what have you heard… anything? Didn’t think so.
So one guy wanted CF door panels… I don’t think anyone will need door panels that can withstand 500 degrees. If my interior reaches that temperature, my door panels aren’t going to be the first thing on my worry-list.
One last thing… I think you’re interested in a vendor account, and not necessarily looking to become a site sponsor. But hey, to each his own.
Re: CF interior pieces!
Yes I do own the business with a friend of mine. That pic was taken in a my apartment b/c someone was comming to get them the next day and it was easier for me to have them there than at the shop. Yes I do own the business along with my friend, (im 21 years old) and the other guy is 24. So when I say "me" that means the company b/c I represent the company on this site. We are currently working on a website and it should be done shortly, so you will soon see that we are legit and have the ability to make full race parts...
Those dvds were bought when www.gfc.com was still up and running. I bought them about 4 years ago, b/c widebody kit came cracked and the shipping company didnt want to pay but 100 of the 500 in damages so I learned alittle from the dvds and fixed it myself. So those dvds were super old and found them in my desk when cleaning it out. Those dvds were sold on another site, so once they are sold I dont check the thread b/c it useless (dvds are sold).
The parts do need to have the ability to endure atleast 500degrees. People live in different locations and the climate can vary greatly. Someone in fl inside if their car can reach close to 300 degress. Well most ester resins start to warp and fade at around 150. The resin that can withstand the 500 dregrees is the "universal" resin that all companies use. So yea all interior and exterior parts need to have that ability to endure the heat (the resin in most cases have a window of about 100-400 degees) so that the part will be durable and last making your customer happy for the lenght of time they have the part.
When you become a vendor you basically are a sponsor...

Re: CF interior pieces!
here are some more pics of the spyder console we just finished up. The console is full replacement and cup holders were added along with slots for the defi cont and boost cont. The camera sucks so whe I get back i town Ill get some clear shots.

We also did the ac shroud and side radio pillars as you can see.

Re: CF interior pieces!
I dont see what that has to do with the console or radio pillars. These cars pictured ARE NOT MINE, why would I clean them? All these nonsense posts are cluttering it up, so dont post in my thread unless you have some sincere interest....
Re: CF interior pieces!
OK guys, We are thinking of adding a few civic (01-05) sponsorship cars to our collection. The sponsor ship will be partial but non the less you will get a discount. If you guys are interested send your proposal to
flatline16@comcast.net ALONG with pics of your car.
