i was only asking because you don't need the engine out to put the turbo on...i thought you said you were waiting on the turbo before you put your engine back in....but glad to hear your on your way back
thanks.
i know .. im gonna wait.. just cause its gonna be tons easier to do with the engine sitting out the car... that way we dont have to reach behind to connect the oil fittings and all the hoses.

well, just from putting on this kit before...it will probably be just as easy with the engine in the car...you won't be able to hook up any of your lines and piping until it is....if you have a decent jack, it's not that tough..as far as the oil lines go...from the oilpan and to the oil sensor...just my opinion...it's also a squeeze getting the turbo and manifold in...so you may have a lil more trouble trying to do it and the engine in at the same time with the hoist...either way, good luck, let us know how it turns out..if you have anyquestions during the install. feel free to pm me or call my cell.pm me if you want my number
wow thanks for ur help.. yea i wasnt planing on putting the manifold in before the engine install... basically .. the oil pan drilling and the t-fitting that goes where the sensor is was my major concern with the installation ... and i figured it would just be easier to connect all the fuel lines and oil lines at the same time... and for REAL i might be PMing you for cell incase i run into ne problems... but it seems really straight forward with the install.

well, it's not exactly straight forward, but not too bad. you won't receive any instructions for the install, so let me know if you need my help.

This has probably been one of the most informative posts i've read in a while. I have been contemplating getting a turbo, or swapping for quite some time...but it seems that this kit is a great investment. Im just happy to see options for us 7th gen owners, its seems that everyone is catching on! Nice thread, and keep up the good work!

Hey guys I just had a quick question. I live in FL, so I don't have that much options about installation. Do you think that any shop could install your kit? I live in Orlando, FL, so theres not that many shops around here, and most of them are POS places. If anyone lives in FL that has the turbo or is planning on getting it, then PM me. There is an EXTREME lack of hooked up 7th gens out here, besides the kid with the clear taillights that parks next to me at school. He flipped out when he saw i had an AEM SRI. He said "Man I look for 3 months for that. I said,"I found it in 10 mins."

I'm guessing you're asking because you don't want to do it yourself? It is a fairly easy kit to install with almost no modification whatsoever. Ask a buddy or somethin to give you a hand, this DIY should cover all bases on installing this kit. - That and you'll save money, and have the pride of telling people you did it yourself.

LOL Do it myself?!?!? I thought it was hard putting my SRI from AEM in my Automatic 2002 EX. I don't think I would even think about putting it in myself. I probably be like, hmmm oil line to the...... A/C! lol. I would prefer to have someone that knows what their doing install it.
