the o2 sensors are in the downpipe of the lx, and in the ex they are in the stock midpipe.
We will be seeking CARB exemption for the kits, but as of right now, they are not smog legal.

every once and a while i will get a check engine light for "system too rich", but after exactly 50 miles, it goes away. I have had the kit on for over 5000 miles now, and i have had the light about 3 times.
yo catalyst .. lemmie ask u .. my car has been sitting in the garage sine aug 1st. and theres like 87 oct fuel in there like HALF A TANK.. will this affect the turbo? i know im supposed to run like 93 but will it damage it ? our should i just take it easy and drive slow to the gas station and top the tank off with some 94?

do not make ANY boost with only 87 octane gas. It will not damage your turbo, but it will destroy your ring lands and crown of the pistons, along with your head gasket.

Ummm YEAH!?!?!? I already have an O2 simulator because of the Hp racing header...I don't think that would resolve the check engine light because the car is running too rich...Try again
Catalyst, would having a tuned Apexi VAFC resolve the "running too rich" problem???

It's cool!!! I'm thinking that if you get your car "tuned" that should eliminate the CEL...I would like to know if this would help because I really hate to have a CEL and everyone wonder why it's on when they ride with me.

.. but yea i wonder if the SAFC would work then...

thanks for the advice
but my cars engine is removed. this is why i have the problem. The new engine is going in with the turbo so Im stuck with the gas thats in there... this is why i need to know if i add octane booster to the 87 gas (1/2 a tank) will it work? otherwise im gonna syphin (sp?) the gas out and go fill up a bottle with acouple gallons of 93. better yet, i know in nc, that there are a couple stations down here that still sell 100 octane racing fuel. see if there is any of that. then you can make mad boost without having to worry about detonation. just an idea.

dude, pump out the old gas if you can, it may take a lil while but you won't regret it later...fill the tank with a 5-gallon plastic gas can (obviously put 93 in it) then drive to your fav gas station and fill it with 93. I said to use a 5 gallon tank because it will better help to dillute (sp) the rest of the 87 octance you couldn't get out with the pump better than only putting in a couple gallons. hope that helps. btw - 5 gall. containers for fuel isn't much money at all, it's def worth it man, good luck
