7th gen 05 civic engine & transmission swap: k24z3 to pnn3
7th gen 05 civic engine & transmission swap: k24z3 to pnn3
I'm doing a swap and accidentally got the k24z3 instead of a k24a2. I have an si pnn3 transmission. Before I get a tsx stage 3 flywheel with subrame, custom mounts, and 5 lug conversion i have to know. Will this engine bolt onto a pnn3? I know it does with a pnn4.
Please answer with actual answers, not questions or some irrelevant answer that doesn't answer the question.

Pretty sure it will, but that’s the least of your worries.
Custom mounts are not made for the K24Z3. Assuming you bought other parts in preparation, all will need to be changed.
Also, what Z3 is it? TSX or Accord? There is a difference.
Another also, what are your plans long-term for it?

What if I got the tsx subframe and just get tsx mounts. I think I can get titanium drill bits to make a hole into wherever I need and measure the diameter. Atp its gonna fit whether I drill new holes or need to get a inverter welder. Just need them to bolt on and mate.
Long term I want to improve on it with turbo and wider diameter for everything like throttle body, intake manifold, bigger radiator, bigger wheels but drop it low, maybe get a crv timing case and drive shaft to make it awd. Maybe get the si internal digital dash, put some dynamo shielding on the internal then put down a black flooring with race seats, flip toggle for turbo and awd. If that works out maybe convert the rear to electric to see if I can save on gas ...but for now just to get it running then get it wrapped.

Get a different engine. The single inlet manifolds don't have much airflow so the engine can't hold a bunch of power before it leans out. Any of the early K24A engines with the 4-inlet manifolds would serve you better,
