Since i'm a cheap azz, i decided to build me a short throw adapter plate.
It boils down to 4 holes being drilled into a piece of steel and one hole being drilled next to the existing shifter pin.
Double nutting everything.
Attached within the pics are the measurements used.
My original shifter throw was over 4 inches. This plate lowers the throw to 2.75 inches! Final plate. The angled cut is necessary to clear the shifter boot cover. Bottom two holes for mounting. I drilled two holes to try different throw angles. Utilizing the top hole brings the throw down to 2.75 inches. Throw length.
Sweet! Practical and a lot cheaper then then buying one. I wanted to do something similar to my Fit. Are you going to cut the stick down also to shorten that?
