Im a mechanically inclined person and DIYer. Im going to collehr as a frsshmen in Aug. Would it be still "wise" to start buying kswap parts for my em2 and lastly the engine and tranny after i get my bachelors?
If i told I love civic and i wanna build this is my first car im attatched to it i wanna not be a punk and sell it for rwd.
Idc if civics are fwd and "econoboxes"
Ill have such a great joyride in a k series em2 i love the em2 how it looks and just shifting 6 speeds in a k series omg
k24a2 motors are so powerful compared to my "127hp rated" em2 2005
According to my calcs if I save $200 a month Ill have $4800 for the swap but im just gonna collect parts and my final two parts will be engine and tranny.
At first i was gonna build the D motor but after mych thought i wanna go down the path of "K series k24a2 n/a" with 6 speed trans/ possible future turbo and forged internals"

Nah. Im not interested in any performance parts for the D17A2 engine. I drive an automatic car, too, so the gains would not be as feasible as on a manual EX Coupe. Nonetheless, the camshaft costs about $400, which is not worth it imo.

I would just save and buy parts when you're more ready to do the swap. Hauling around a garage full of car parts is a pain in the ***. And I speak from experience on that one. Unless you have a house with a garage you will be living in for the whole time.
