Front Bumper Fitment

Ok so I wanna know how many of you boosted civics had to cut the front bumper & how much??? I really would like to get some opinions before I slice up my freshly painted front bumper!!! Pictures would be nice!!

So far w/ dezod intercooler & piping It looks like all I need to cut is the black part where the splash shield clips into... no splash shields for raining days

Turbo Air intake

Ok so I'm sure you're all aware of the lucious space honda has graced us with in your engine bays! So I have the precision 5027E turbine on dezod manifold....I have no frickin room for a filter. All I'm running is a porch screeching cut out with a hose clamp! It works for now but I'm kinda worried about it for longevity. I was thinking hks slim fit filter (but for $100 it would suck if it didn't fit!) Or getting flexi hose run under the battery with a small filter.

Post up people!! I wanna see some pictures! Ideas?

Re: Front Bumper Fitment

i only trimmed the black piece in the bumper, didn't have to cut it all out, just shaved it and shaved it until the intercooler cleared. i also have the 5027E Precision Turbo, Did you try taking your battery out and putting it in the trunk? that would free up some area in there.

Re: Front Bumper Fitment

Yeah FoSho. Put the battery on the trunk. You may have to move the clutch line a little to clear an intake tube, but it will be more than worth clearing up that space. I'm going to go put the bumper on in a few minutes to see how everything clears. I'll post some pics when I get done.

Re: Front Bumper Fitment

This is what I had to trim.

I've been running without a splash shield for 3 years now and no problems, and I live in the UK (it tends to rain a bit here). I will making up a new splash shield, but its been fine without so far.

Re: Front Bumper Fitment

here is how i did my air filter

a 45 degree silicone bend and a 45 degree pipe so I could clear the coolant lines without reversing them...
