Easy killer, that was not a sarcastic response. I love my D17 and have been tired of seeing people b&*ch about how crappy the motors are, and how no one in the aftermarket or R&D community supports them. Its great to see examples of when that's not true (thanks Paul and crew at Dezod and others). I'm eagerly awaiting my turbo parts to arrive from Dezod and also can't wait to see the IM and TM production models they are working up.

you couldn't have misunderstood me any more
I was referring to my civic si that already HAS a k20 in it.
which was in reply to this guy
I was responding back to his sarcastic response. The fact of the matter is you can't compare the amount of money it takes to actually make a d17 have 250 horsepower, (god forbid 400) opposed to other cars to have 250, and I was giving an example... my car, for thousands less.

andyman does make a fine point. thats why ive chosen to stick with the tiny d17 so i can laugh at the people with their k20's when i blow them away. i just have to get a turbo to do that.

Well its not black and white with just .3 liters of more displacement, have you ever had a k20 apart in your hands? The ports alone double that of the d17. If you think of it as an air pump alone the K20 has a serious advantage, moving a ton more volume, not to mention the intense tuning possibilities and beautiful engineering. The D17 is a serious underdog but for dirt cheap, just like most single cams, can be made to perform well if someone is willing to go the distance. Personally Id rather not start my civic $5k+ into the hole even though the potential is greater, how much power can you really use on streetable tires? After about 400-500 whp in a fwd vs fwd street race its almost a drivers race anyways. I've been there plenty of times and watched countless races won on junkyard setups walking all over the guy with all the money into a dyno queen based on good driving. Anyways, back on topic.

On topic. Anything further not related to the manifold will be removed. This is Paul's thread, lets respect his request to stay on topic.

Is this manifold going to be available with different coatings? Or is it polished? I can't really tell from the picture.

dezod, i know this is somewhat off topic, but a little on topic at the same time. i am planning on buying your s1 turbo kit sometime in the near future, but for now im na. i have a bare ex head and i want to get it ported and polished with a nice 5 angel valve job and the crower valve train upgrade and stage 2 cam. but i dont know what cam to get, the na 3/4" cam or the turbo cam. the 3/4" looks like it would give more power, but would it be alright to run on a turbo, or would the turbo cam run on an na engine until i turbo'd it?

im planning on getting the kpro once im done building up my head. is it possible to send in my head to be ported/polished yet? how much is it, with no cam/springs/retainers/valves. just the port/polish/valve work? i was just wondering, im looking to get a good job, and id like to send it in so i could get some good power from the turbo kit.

Any updates on this manifold? This really interests me. I think it would be perfect for the setup I want to do.

Dezod,
will I be able to buy it as a single peice (not a whole kit), and can I buy just the exhaust adapter (from the turbo to the factory crap) on its own too? (thinking of making my own kit with some very nice peices from you guys, maybe a t25 and a small end inlet to end outlet intercooler, my own custom piping, the works)
thanks
PS - Looks good!
