E-Manage memory question.
I don't have the right COMI bought and installed HyaBoosta's custom turbo kit. However, I am having problems getting my e-manage and my laptop to communicate to each other. So my question is - does the e-manage remember it's last map after being disconnected from a car for a long time? Like does it store information or once it's disconnected from a power source it erases?

The map should stay on the emanage as long as you didn't manually erase/delete or export it. My buddies old map was on the emanage after I purchased it from him.

on a side not from this, say the e-manage is in the car for 9 months while it is in storage and the car never gets turned on and the battery is dead by the time you go to start it again. will the file still be there or will it be gone?

Now that is a great question. My guess is yes but we won't really know until someone tries and opens up the support tool to see if the map is there. I think its like an Ipod. You load ur songs and it doens't get deleted even when its turned off unless you use the software to delete it.

the emanage map is stored in non-volatile memory, meaning, power or no power, the map is still there. same thing with a slow drain. a car being stored for that long should have the battery disconnected anyways.

if you are that worried about it, back it up on your computer. If its not there, which it should be, just load it back in.

No pictures yet... my car is still filthy from sitting in my driveway for 1 month while I worked on it. Also - I developed a boost leak between my manifold and my wastegate, so once I fix that I'll put up some pictures.

My 7thgen was stored, would not kick over, but e-man at the time still had the map.
