Well, this dyno is on 18 psi. All I've really done was install 750cc injectors, crower valvepsrings and retainers, aeromotive fuel pressure regulator and stage III crower cam. Oh yeah, don't forget the pump gas mod lol

The cam is obviously the restriction in these motors. Anyone going turbo I highly recommend stage III over all others. I picke up 75 whp, no lie with just the cam, my before dyno was only 260 whp at the same numbers.

Thanks to JDM Fabtech for the kickass intake manifold and Dezod for the equal length turbo mani and my tuner Jason from St00pidfast. The manifolds are really able to shine now. Can't wait to see what kinds of times it will pull. Should be good to a low 12, I'm thinking.

Partial throttle driving is fine. Idle sucks. I dono, I have a friend running a stage III cam and his idle is fine. If that's the worst of my problems, its a small price to pay for the power I'm making.

Thanks guys, I always said I'd get here :P

No, I wasn't running a stage II cam, my head was totally stock.
Yeah, its easy to drive. I need to tweak my partial throttle just a tad, though but it isn't anything that's terrible, just a few rich spots and a few slightly lean spots under vacuum.

The torque peaks right after 6k. That's where you want your peak torque, around 5500-6000 rpms. It doesn't "drop off", it does what it's supposed to.

Max RPM for now is 8k. I'm probably going to stay right where I am power wise until Hector beats my numbers then I'll end up chasing him again lol. Just depends on what setup I end up with in the long run but this 57 trim is an animal.

Yes head is stock, just stage III cam, springs and retainers. No machine work whatsoever.

Really don't know what the numbers would be on a mustang dyno....I'd have to strap it down and see what it gave me.

Yes it is just a measly old d17 that everyone says you can't make power on and you should just swap to make power, bahhhh. Oh, stock sleeves, too, just pistons and rods.

Cam goes for around 375 I believe and spring and retainer set is around 330 or so. Yes, the springs and retainers are required to run this camshaft.

I'll try to get vids if I can. Sorry, don't have a camcorder or I'd post vids and I don't have any friends that I know of that have one either so

Oh and one last thing. These numbers were corrected with an SAE correction factor. The uncorrected numbers were 345 whp and 261 tq FYI.

Thanks for the comments guys.

I've been saying for awhile now that its alot more cost effective to go with a d17. A K series swap alone will run 5k minimum for parts needed alone including the motor and tranny. For little over 5k, I can build a 300+ whp d17 with a stock motor. But it depends on how far you want to go.

If you want 500+ whp, k series is the way to go. If you want a sleeper and impressive as hell sohc motor that will command respect, boost the d17. That's why I stuck it out, I knew it was only a matter of time before I squeezed the power I wanted.

And also, I could have made over 350 whp if we kept pushing. We hit 340 and I said that was good enough, I wanted to run it there for now and maybe later turn it up. The turbo is only at 18 psi and will probably keep pushing up to 25-ish psi.
