Better for gas milage and engine wear, cause you will not be boosting much just cruising around. May even use the a/c?

Do you have something about t25 size feet?

More woomf than t25,
More linear response than t3/4

Just thought of alternatives.

They are great for OEM, but IMO I have seen them be just OK on N/A to Turbo Apps.

when he said realm of power from the t25 he means that the t25s potential is left in the lower rpm levels while the t3/t4 just owns in the high rpm range where the t25 cant.

ok between t25 and t3/t4 and even t28, what would be best for low boost 4-6psi and less wear on the engine, if you can even factor that

Yes a T28 is "technically" a T25 turbo, but its really a hybrid. Its a T25 hot side with a small T3 cold side. The new GT28s garrett has are blurring that line, as some of them are available with T3 hot sides, and there are T3 conversion housings available for them. I guess the GTs aren't really the same as the T28s though.
A lot of people are going for the 28s... both the dual BB water cooled GTs and the old style journal bearing Ts.... Its going to spool quicker than a true T3, but not as fast as a 25 would, its also going to have airflow somewhere between the two.

Yes a staright T3 does not flow that much in comparison to a T3/T4. Average T3 turbos flow about 35lbs/min where most T3/T4s are in the 40-55lbs/min of air flow.

The craziest HYBRID turbo I ever seen was by Innovative Turbo at the PRI show. It was a T28 inlet & a T4 outlet. VERY disproportionate looking.

Due to t25 fat low end, smaller turbo will have upper hand on a track with many turns.
On the other hand, where straight line acceleration needed (drag racing, as iamboo mentioned) t3/t4 will come forward with big top end.

This topic is beat to death now and I personaly would like to put a
