Quick E-Manage w/vtec question
Right now im running a lx ecu with a d17a2 engine. I am useing a VAFCII to run the vtec high to low cam change. Wil lthe emanage do the same thing? From reading Dezod's huge emanage thread on the install on how to i got the impression it would. BTW I will be useing the Dezod pnp adapter with the Emanage if that makes a diffrence.

Are you getting that from anydymans DIY? If so he has the vtec in and vtec out wires reversed. Its should be YELLOW vtec out, LIGHT BLUE vtec input.
Ajhdragon, Make sure that you use 4-8-C as your rotary setting, Also make sure jumper 3 (vtec output) is set to 2-3. This works perfect on my EX engine with the non vtec ecu.

the vtec on the emanage doesn't work on the 7th gen civics. i have used the diagrams provided by greddy and it will just give u a check engine light for vtec voltage error. if you look up the wiring diagrams for the 7th gen civic si and rsx, greddy does not show the vtec wiring diagram for it. it is possible that the new vtec designs are going off something similar to the economy vtecs and they are variable which is a problem for the emanage. i have already tried wiring it and going through the forums. it didnt work for me. if someone got it to work then they should upload the info and diagram.
and for dizzle who said to use rotary 4-8-c, that is a rotary settings for non vtec engines. having the rotary at 4-8-c will overwrite the jumper settings for vtec on the board and will set it as non-vtec.

He's not using a EX ecu, he's using a LX ecu on a vtec motor. 4-8-E is the proper setting for vtec engagment with the emanage. I'm pretty sure the wire you will need is the light blue "vtec out". It's been awhile since I did this. If that doesnt work, try the other wire (pink), thats how I found out.
