ignition
Its probably knocking, man. Honda has these cars pretty damn advanced in the first place. Part of being a ULEV car is due to the fact that they are so well tuned from the factory. Having the tune right on the money means a/f ratios and ignition timing is almost peaked with some tolerance for weather and fuel variances. If you are advancing the timing more than a couple degrees in cold or cool weather you are gunna get knock for sure. Random misfire codes will trip as well. My advice would to NOT advance the ignition timing at all. You may be able to get a few degrees out of it but then the weather may change and you are screwed. Remember, street tuning isnt max power tuning, its max SAFE tuning.
and im not in any kinda cold weather. its like 30s degree celcius back here. and im running on 98 octanes and sometimes 97. is there some sort of ignition and injector harness that u guys happen to run with the e manage?
I dont run emanage anymore but yeah, you need those harnesses. Im probably not running any more advance than factory. Under boosted conditions its less than factory. Where do you live?? I wanna go there if you can get 98 octane from the pump thats affordable to use every day. hehe
hha.im like living in singapore. minimum standard will be 92,95 followed by 98 and some premiums will be 98 w additives. its like 1.617 per litre of 98 octane patrol. yeah...
so you decided to take the e manage out? damn. i need more help! im boosted with a lousy management and hell is my consumption high and im not getting the power that i deserve!

Yeah I run the AEM now, much nicer. No bull to deal with, except for the purchase and tuning costs. Id rather pay 1,000,000 then deal with what I did with the E-manage. I would really frown on advancing the timing at all. I think you are getting knock.
yeah im boosted. but just wanna find a reliable system to work with. looking at say 9-10 psi daily. my management only does fuel. dats y i want to get it sorted out asap. whats so bad abt the emanage on the 7th gens? any1 tried the ultimate. my intake mani and tb is pure stock. running 2.5 straight thru. any advise? wanna improve some low end before the boost.

I've been running e-manage blue for almost a year with no problems, works great just like any other fuel managemant when tuned properly
I had the E-manage blue with everything and the thing would always act up on me, I think it had a lot to do with running my big *** injectors though. Piggybacks have there limits and I was probably just exceeding them. Some people never have any problems with them though.
