hmm ... well most k20a2's that I've seen have dyno'ed at 165 whp bone stock ... but that's not a big deal. just from what I've seen.
hmm ... I definitely need to learn how to drive better then. My best trap speed was 99.6 on my 14.3 run ... with a better launch (and me not spinning 1st and part of 2nd), I could've probably had a high 13. Despite my poor times, I've maintained a 98-99 mph trap speed. It was also 80 degrees that day ... but enough with the excuses.
my first run, I ran a 15.3@99 mph ... when I launched, my 1st gear popped out
but since that run, I've also added a dc race header and some wider profile tires that grip better. upgraded from 215/40/17 gy f1 gs-d3's to 225/45/17 michelin pilot sport 2's.
hopefully come january, I will break 13's with ease.
oh yeah ... what was your tire pressure?

Up here at 6000 ft i run low/mid 15's my 14.3 was near sea level. Everything aside that is a great trap speed. Try a run without the 17's. I run 15" 02-03 si wheels. right now i have shitty tires, with those i can peel out shifting from 1-2 with a little wheel spin 2-3 and chirp 3-4 all this with LSD
What did you have before you got the DC header?
Tire psi was about 20psi

yeah if you wanna drag you want 15''s. Not only because there lighter, but you can make more revolutions per sec on a 15'' wheel then 17's just because the diameter is a lot smaller. More revolutions per min = better acceleration. 17's are better if your going around a track because of the wider rim and tire equals better grip around a track.
just buy some cheap steelies for like $60 and put some good tires on them.

^^seriously though, have you figured out what kind of k20 you're using?
i only read some of your articles, and it seems like you have a whack-o k20 hybrid (not the gas/electric hybrid)

its actually a JDM type S... yes you read correctly... they have 2 types of JDM k20a in japan.. a type R and a type S..... the JDM type S is somewhere inbetween the US civic si and the US rsx type s in terms of power...
actually the jdm type s is equivalent to a k20a3.
it's 160 ps, exactly like the usdm k20a3.
if you compare specs with the jdm version and the usdm version, you will see that they both make exactly the same hp and torque figures at the exact same rpm. This jdm K20A "type S" version is not "somewhere inbetween us rsx-s and us civic si" ... it IS a base rsx motor. Gear ratios also remain the same.
This would not apply if you received a jdm "type s" motor. the jdm base model rsx is labeled "Type S", unlike the usdm.
I'm not sure what kind of motor you have in your car ... it is very, very strange indeed. But I do know for certain that you do not have a jdm dc5-r or jdm cl7-r.
what is stamped on your intake manifold? prc or prb? ... what code is stamped on your transmission? y2m3? x2m5? w2m5?

This is kind of off topic, but. Why not get a k24 from an accord/element, over the k20a3. I found some for aolt cheaper than a3's, They have the same 160 hp plus they have ~30 more ft/lbs of torque.
the entire motor is labeled with the code PNA.... and the intake manifold pictured in these are no longer on the car...the block and everything else has a k20a stamped on it... right now i have a 6 speed in there... and when i first got the motor it was taken to acura and a local tuner shop and the compression was determined to be at 11.5:1.. or i think it was more like 11.4??:1...i forgot what it was but had a whole discussion on it....to make things easier read this

here is why i say IN BETWEEN the SI and the TYPE S
the si has no vtec lobes on any of the intake or exhaust cams.....
the type s has vtec lobes on bothe the intake and exhaust cams....
my motor has it only on the intake side....

do you know what the code is on your tranny?
did you ever post the compression test volumes?
well i lost the sheet for the actual numbers cause it was so while back.. but the tests showed it to be around the 11.4-11.5 range compression.. something like that... well the tranny i had with it originally wasnt the original... cause it originally came with a 6 speed but i asked for a 5 speed cause i was gonna go turbo... so now i changed my mine again and have a 6 speed again.. but its a rsx type s one though.... if you look in the issue of import tuner they do have my motor listed as the jdm type s... they have all the k20 motor specs listed and there was only one on that list with 3 intake lobes and one exhaust... and that was the jdm k20a type s... if anything i am at work now but i will scan that section of import tuner for you guys to see what i am talking about

Just my 2 cents...
160 ps is not the same thing as 160 hp lol, it's actually going to be a little bit more.
