Will a 2006 civic motor fit in our cars?

The strut tower bar is the gold bar going across the top of the pic with Comptech written on it. They stiffen the chassis.
I got an idea. Instead of swapping the new motor in why not use your kickass resale value and trade in your 7th gen for a new Civic?

As someone already said here, 8thgen struts are located under the windshield..

i think what he mean is... from the picture that is shown, you can't see where the strut bar would mount to.... you can't see the strut towers... i'm sure it'll be a bitch to install when one comes out for the car...
anyone test drivin one? i want to go test drive one and look at it just for kicks but if i have to sit around while they check my credit or any bullshit other than me saying "can i drive one" and them saying "heres the keys lets go" im not going to bother.

That engine bay is cramped as hell. I am not sure if Honda has noticed but why people mostly like their cars are because they are mod friendly this car seems not to be the case with the 8th Gen.

cramped or not there will be modifications.. and if you think about it bolt-ons will work perfectly fine... remove stock intake put on after market.. remove old headers put on new one.. i can see how a turbo might be an issue but then again we havent actually got down and dirty with one of these things yet... as for the upper front strut if its attached to the fire wall know that just means its more reinforced than it normally would be.. so in the long run we might not need a front upper strut bar??

it does look cramped, but if you look inside there towards the back of the firewall, theres a shitload of room, its just the way that its built with the windshield coming down over the engine bay.
