motor swap

Hello everyone! I new to this forum so please bear with me. I currently own a 2001 civic lx. I bought a motor offline that was imported from Japan. The motor that came out of my civic was a basic 1.7 liter. The motor the company sent me was a Vtech 1.7 liter. My question is, what do I have to do to make the Vtech functional?

Re: motor swap

I believe the ECU needs some stuff rearranged on it.

Have you checked out the D17A1 to D17A2 head swap DIY? That may mention it in there.

Re: motor swap

It mentions using a VAFC2 to modify the ECU.
