Whats more accurate?

I was wondering what reads the boost more accurate? I have a greddy e-01 that says i go up to like 8.7 psi and then my boost gauge says that i only run 5. I don't know which one is right could you guys please let me know what you think is happening and what i can do to fix it?

electronic guages should read better, mechanical ones allow for leaks

who makes your boost gauge? greddy is usually as accurate as they get. greddy's gauges are second to none. Im assuming the e-01 would not be built to any lower of standards in getting data.

Could your gauges read boost in different places, and the boost level is uneven where you see differences in psi???

also depends where the tap for the boost gauge and the e-01 is connected... you will get different readings if one is off the turbo housing and if one is tapped on the manifold.. the one tapped of the turbo gives you what its putting out near the turbo and the one tapped into the manifold will give you what is actually going into the manifold

Did you install that little metal filter in the "T" provided with the E0-1 pressure sensor? I'm not sure if that would cause a problem but it's an idea. Also, maybe one of the lines to one of your gauges is kinked. There is also the chance that you are taking the signals from 2 different places and that is causing the problem (a difference of 3.7 psi seems high for this, though). Finally, the other gauge you're using may be junk.

one is autometer prolite the other is greddy. They are tapped into the same place i think maybe the autometer line is kinked. Another thing is the greddy one is reading and then when i let off the gas it jumps up to the boost and it flashes three times but its weird how fast it jumps when i let off the gas

well if your blow off valve sucks than you will get a large surge of pressure onto the throttle body, when you close it (let off the gas), untill your BOV releases the pressure and relieves the strain on the turbo system.

My bov is the stock sf one. So you then when i close my tb the pressure is then being read by the e-01 so that makes the boost suddenly go from 5 to 8.9 and higher while my autometer reads 5? How should i have my bov soft or hard?

Well look the remote to the e-01 is screwed up so maybe the e-01 is. Also when i dynoed my car i had 160 whp at 10 psi which i thought was dam low for what i was running. The autometer said i was running 5 psi and the emanage would jump. My car feels fast but not that fast to be running 10psi and compared to everyones numbers i was expecting over 200whp
