the stage 1 should have a stock idle. I would use vafc2 or emanage to get the most out of it, but the stock ecu should be able to handle it. I would look for a 5-10 hp gain from 3500- redline. if thats worth it then go for it.
question, I am not sure if I am gonna go turbo or not, so would buying the stage 1 cam be better than the stock cam if I decide to turbo the d17. I know there is a stage 2 turbo version, just wondering if stage 1 would be better than oem for turbo applications?
Sry for the long question.

i'll be heading out to the track again soon mid july to get into the 13's and to see if i can do any better all motor. I should be k swapped around the end of the year. then I start it all over again... just faster
oh..nice. getting a stage 2 camshaft wouldnt be a good idea for me is it?? because i got an auto. i think i read in the previous post that with this you need a AEM ems or something. ems's wont work on an auto will it? or is that something else....
I guess you could do the stage 2 with an auto i dont think i would though.
And with the stage one cam gains are usually like 8-9% when tuned. It all really depends what you pair it up with you need a good flow to make good hp.

Re: stage 2 na crower cam experience
Hey, guys i am a student and i am trying to get little more power out of d17. So far i have ws2, dc 4-1 and aem v2. The car runs strong then before but i am just looking for something more and i am thinking bout the crower stage 2 cam and springs. But as for the tunning can i get away with GReddy 'Blue' E-Manage w/ Dezod D17 Plug-N-Play Harness-Civic 01-04 D17 Engines from dezod. You guys think i can get away with it. Any opinion is greatly appreciated.

Re: stage 2 na crower cam experience
You can get away with it I think ronaldo9 was running a blue emanage but it is a lot harder to get the idle right with the emange also i don't think you can raise the rev limit and those rpms climb real fast in first and second with that cam it really helps if you can raise that rev limit even just a little.
