I have a 2001 civic ex 4 door. Which turbo should I get? http://www.turbocalculator.com/sale-garrett.php
I heard the Garrett T3/T04E Hybrid Turbos are the best. What is the difference? I dont want to blow up my engine, I plan on running around 6 psi. Also, what compressor trim should I get? What is the difference? Thanks.

Rep Power: 0 first start to understand how a turbo works and what all is needed for a complete installation, that will help u out ALOT before u actually buy the turbo

Rep Power: 0 same here, on thursday Ill be getting tuned. thats when my appointment is, so well see what a T25 does. Since nobody likes to post dynos. If I dont scan it, Ill at least type it all up so people can say, LIAR, lol.

Rep Power: 337 well i am running 5-6psi right now, but i am gettng a new hg and head studs and e-manage...i wanna turn the boost up but i wanna get a clutch first..so im going to have them tune my car at 6psi. then hopefully by next month ill have a new clutch.ill scan thou so poeple can see.

Sort of. At 8psi a motor will flow the same amount of air regardless of which turbo is on the car. The reason for the powerband differences are because of efficiencies and other factors.

CFM is a direct relation to pressure ratio across a medium, in this case, the motor itself. If pressure is raised a certain amount a set amount of air will flow.

in my OPINION i think that the t25/t28 would be the best turbo for ours cars if block/head or not built...dont get me wrong, i am not downing the t3 or the t3t04e, i have had both on my car, but many times i had wished that i had a smaller turbo that made boost sooner, on place being the track....

Rep Power: 0 the t28 that i am looking at getting powered Forced Performance 2Gen Awd to an 11.8 @119mph in the 1/4....i bet he was making a lot more than 250whp

ok So from what I gather the t25 or t 28 is the best turbos for a stock d17. but is it a turbo that can grow with the motor , say down the road doing an engine swap ?

Rep Power: 0 Well, if you swap to a K20 not many turbos will work for both well. A full-race kit for the K20s has a T3/T67 and that would be HUGE for a D17, so, your SOL in that regard.

So the the t25 or t28 at 5-6 psi is a safe start with most stock parts? and is upgrading the clutch the main replacement part to turn it up to 8-10 psi safely or are there other parts that should be upgraded too? BTW Thanks 4dr for a very straight answer, appreciate it..
