CA legal turbo or k20

Hey guys, i am in the heart of California and have 2004 civic sedan. I want my car to be BAR'ed for legal use of the road. Which would be better to be legal? Turbo or k20 swap? Thanks.

I don't think there's any CARB legal turbo for the D17. At least with the K20, you can get CARB legal mods for it.

yea i dont think there is any carb legal d17 turbo either.
fyi, ive seen plenty k20s with bolt ons beat turbo d17s
