WRX....T67 Greddy Kit
so the wrx my friend and i are building needs help on the size of the turbo to get. right now we are looking to get the greddy T67 kit for the STi. word around town is that this turbo is to big for the 2.0L to push. spool up will be slow but top end power will make ur eyes water. so is there any other size turbo that is in the middle of this range. XS engineering has 2 turbos that seem to do the trick. T04S and the T04X
so those with knowledge of the T67 and whether it is capable of performing like we want to. please chime in

Is the TD04 available for the WRX too? I've heard some pretty good results with that one, but not sure if anybody ever bolted it to a WRX.

T67 will make your eyes water, that is correct. Its beautiful, it really is.
I would recommend something along the lines of a GT28RS. Something similar to that would work well for your applicaition.

500+ is the goal, external gate is the only way to go. we are looking into the apexi power FC get the rev to about 85-9000, found some kick *** **** for head work, basically its going to be a fully built head too.

if 500HP is the goal then i highly recommend the FP REd setup... as i can remember not too long ago either they were running specials on the FP red's so tell him to check it out... and as most Scooby owners know FP turbo's are the best and most efficient on the Boxer motors... my friend just swapped out his FP green setup for the RED and holy **** the Green made the eyes water, but hell for just about the same price the RED just gets me wet lol... research it all up...
here is what the T67 will do for the 2.5 STi.....http://www.jscspeed.com/wrx/turbo/greddy_t67.htm
try www.TheSpeedFactor.com for a Turbo.

yea we were lookin at that.
we are going to try and make up for the displacement with the head and port work, also the intercooler piping is going to be different sizes in order to create some more velocity.
www.dprracing.com they have some SICK **** for WRX, but then again its baller status to have them do the actual labor, of which aint happening, bc the WHP per dollar does not logically justify the money spent, of course unless u got grands to blow. like i said an INTERNALLY GATED TURBO is not in the picture what so ever
we were also looking at the ESX WRX in the last few issuses of DRAG and TURBO, dude was pulling around 8-900 hp on a stock manifold, yes we called about it. so we are going to stick with a stock manifold. we are going to have the exhaust housing of the turbo ported and jet hot coated.
here is the real kicker. seeing as how i work for the shop that is doing all this work on the WRX, of which the amount of work i do is quite little, basically i just sell to my friends. this kid being the main one. ANYWAYS once this deal is signed sealed and delivered DONE. i get a free sleeves, free labor and motor rebuild.

If you wanna see another sick *** WRX, look for anything done by a guy named Shawn Michael Losey (might have the spelling wrong). He's got probably one of the *sickest* WRXs that have been built. Local guy and really cool. I think he was in one of the Modified or Super Streets. Gotta find that issue. It's a white WRX with black and gold decals on it, if you've ever seen it.

are u sick, i mean u must have brain cancer, and alzheimers and parkinson
have u ever had ur eyes roll back in ur head from the shear force of stomping the gas pedal. guaruntee u it will make the cover of a magazine when its done, shop has already had one in there, so what is another one.
im still stunned at the comment i quoted, im shocked and speechless
I helped a friend build up his wrx and it was a pain in the *** . We swaped the turbo(vf22),uppipe,downpipe,catback,radiator,perri n frontmount, perrin fuel rails, sti injectors, walbro 255 pump, radiator, hks ssq, and all defi guages with there linking system. We did it all in his guarge and there was only a small fuel injector leak. That was fixed then it went to xs engineering put down 340 to the wheel then 360 to the wheel then next run engine blew(we were told it bent a rod). Its been at xs engineering for 2 and a half months getting the engine built and cost a whole lot more than we bargained for. Just be prepared caust yea that hp seems like it will be easy to achieve and then the unexpected happens and you have no horsepower and a empty wallet.
hell a build like that will cost a good 20,000 dollars probaly more(guaranteed more). The question to ask is it really worth it?
