and about the original topic..ill just say cars arent toys..
man, thats gotta suck. Its better to be safe than sorry, do the compression and leak down tests definately before you take apart the whole block. But i guarantee you you're engine is pretty much down the drain...if not, you got extremely lucky and should take this as an opportunity not to run your car like that again. **** happens regardless with turbo vehicles, but you gotta help the car out sometimes...good luck

ok, did a compression test today, everything was fine. checked the plugs, everything was fine. checked the codes, everything was fine, bypasses the FMU, everything was the same. then i stuck a restrictor in my oil feed line, and it stopped with the smoke, problem solved. it was the simplest thing that was causing the problem. thanks guys.
yeah, iw as about to tell you to check that. i had a bad smoking problem too, and it was just simply too much oil going into the turbo and not enough coming out--oil blows by turbo seals into exhaust and charge pipes and makes alot of smoke. instead of putting a restrictor i replaced my oil drain with much better more efficient line.

best thing to do is use a -3AN oil feed line, and a return line with an inner diameter equal or greater to 1/2". make sure the entire return line is at a downward angle, or gravity will not do its job of returning the oil to the pan.

cool, but guess what. everything was running fine and clear, no smoke or anything. then the next day i was out driving with my new boost controller installed, and it happened...head gasket for real! i was pushing it pretty hard and came to a light and saw smoke from the tailpipe, but this time i knew what it was, i smelled coolent everywhere. im ripping the head off today but i imagine the head gasket went because the system built up so much pressure it blew the overflow hose off the radiator and blew coolent everywhere. this sucks, ill let you guys know what i find tonight.

and when i had the car running, there was exhuast coming from the radiator..haha. well arp headbolts and nippon leakless here i come. btw, i was only boostin like 7 pounds, or so i think?!?!
Use new head bolts and torque down in three steps going inward out in a criss cross pattern. Start with 19 then 30 then 52. Use 2 stacked leakless head gaskets. I ran 14psi at 14.5 a/f and did not have any problems. It blew the stock headgasket at 7psi and the leakless at 12psi. Two leakless and more torque on the headbolts held good. If I would have just done the stacked h/g the first time.
