Yeah, i'm leaning towards NX too. The NX kit offers a 35, 50, and 75 shot, while Zex only offers 55, 60, and 75. Being as this would be my first nitrous kit, i would wanna use a small 35 shot to get use to everything. Still though, what are some pro's and con's to each kit?

I am not to familiar with the pros and cons of each, but from reading things about each kit, it seems that nitrous express has more to offer.

i had an nx kit for about a year. a 50 shot is safe on a stock engine as long as your not stupid with it and try to max out spraying or let it bounce off the rev limiter. but i never had a problem with nx and the kit is very simple to install and easy to adjust.

What RPM would you suggest changing gears at while spraying, and what gears would you spray in at the track?

i would shift at about 6500 rpms. At first you wouldn't want to spray when launching. it takes some practice and you have a higher chance of bouncing the limiter. I would launch hard run 1st gear then as soon as i shift to second i start to spray thru 4th.

Does the NX have a floor switch behind the gas pedal or is it like the zex kit and just know when you're at WOT? Would you have ur kit turned on when launching? I mean like would you have it on and just not floor it, or would you have the kit off, and then switch it on after you're in 2nd and WOT? I guess what i'm asking is could i have the main switch to the kit off while launghing in 1st then after switching to 2nd and at WOT flip the master switch on? Could i work it like that, or would that be just wrong all together. Or did you have it on and just not floor it in 1st? Anyways, i gotta work on my shifting, i've missed gears a few times. Def. don't wanna do that with N2O!

nx doesn't have a floor switch behind the pedal. It's a switch that gets mounted to your throttle body and when you open up the throttle body it pulls back and hits the switch and sprays. IMO i like to keep the arming switch off during lauch. I don;t wanna stay light on the throttle on a launch and bog. I just kept it off then engauged it as soon as I hit 2nd (keep the switch somewhere near your hand so you don;t have to go reaching while running if your gonna do that.).

2BLU:the basic kit will not shut off before the limiter, if your throttle is wide open then it will continue to spray unless you have a window switch that allows you to set exactly what rpm's the system will spray during. you could set it to only spray 3500-6500. thats prob. what your freind has.

I would say just keep it floored cuz an auto tranny changes at around 64-6500 RPMs anyways, but i'm sure you'd have to get like a tranny cooler or something to protect it.

when launching dont have it floored with the N2O spraying until the car is in motion or atleast around 3,000 RPM. Any lower RPM with N2) spraying and you will run the risk of a backfire and DISASTER!

Its illegal to have it hooked up on the street. You can have the bottle sitting in the back but if it is opened or hooked up...illegal! I'd say you got pretty lucky.

That's why you keep your Sh*t in the trunk with a remote bottle opener!
