I talked to the guy with salt flats car. Not sure if its the post above me. He had a donor car and shipped it to Hasport to be the first guinnea pig for a B series. While an older engine (beyond your year car)is illegal to put in you might be able to get around it somehow. I'm sure you have to go through inspection again and I don't know if they run a VIN or what. As far as why anyone would want to, I think its pretty obvious. The B series has been around a lot longer, and we've seen a TON of people build them up. Sure there are plenty of people producing K series parts, but you can't tell me that there's more available than whats out there for the B series. Finally, take a look at actual motor costs. If I could buy a stock K series and drop it in for 200HP or spend less on the motor buy a B series and keep the rest for a cheap used turbo....
