Cool, you are the first I know to get this done by Crower. Do you mind if I ask what something like this costs? I'm considering them as a solution too!

Well kezay,

It looks like Crower won't be starting completely from scratch on your motor. That's definately a plus!

ok ... the total from Crower was $177.28 ... It is a mild regrind that will complement the increased flow from the PnP ... I also told them that I was spraying a 75 shot and I wanted it to help in the low-mid RPM-range but, above all, it had to remain streetable for those long trips to FL ... If I'm not putting down over 200hp on the pavement, I quit 8( Shouldnt be a problem tho ...

2003 Civic EX
I/H/E and no cat (equals one LOUD Honda) - installed
PnP head built w/ SS valves - to be installed
Crower Reground Cam - to be installed
Zex 75 shot - installed
VAFC2 - to be installed

dont forget to alot Crower approx 4 weeks plus one for shipping ... any good deals on a camgear??

That's a pretty aggressive cam on the exhaust side... Definately will be good for the bottle! Good luck N/A though....

110 lobe separation?! That'll be a quite the idle you'll have there too....

Looks interesting, keep us updated...

Wow, its nice to see that crower actually gives you guys the specs on their cams. Back in the day when Gude Performance was all of the rage in the cage, I got their Port and Polish head (big mistake) and their "regrind" cam (even bigger mistake) for the ole d17. But after hearing,"Oh for us to find out what the specs are on the cam, Id have to regrind a whole new cam" coming from Mr. Gude himself was less than assuring. Sorry for the rant, but I guess Im glad to see some decent tuning companies giving the d17 some love now....

hey NashVegasEX, did you also change the valve springs from crower? or just use the stock valve springs?

You shouldn't have to change out the retainers and valve springs on a mild regrind...I can't wait to hear if it helps you out...

well, unfortunately between trying to buy a house and a VERY UNFRIENDLY roadside search by the Tennessee Highway Patrol, it'll probably be a while on the install ... maybe I'll just go without a lawyer and do the install instead ...

and no, after consulting with Brian @Crower, on a mild regrind such as this he thinks new springs/retainers isn't really neccessary ...
