For all those in need of a power fix...

You can send your stock cam cores to Crower cams for custom regrinding suited to your specs.

From crower.com:

[hr]"Camshaft Hardfacing and Regrinds
Crower is constantly updating it's line up of performance cam cores, next on the list is the Acura RSX VTEC and...if demand is there, 8620 steel billet roller cores for the S2000 VTEC. If your engine make is not listed above, then Crower does not have a cam for your application. A custom Crower regrind may be an alternative. When you supply Crower your stock cam core, we draw on 50 years of camshaft experience to grind the exact profile required for your application. Whether it's cruising (lope at idle) or full race with full NOS shot, Crower has the profile you need. You supply stock core. Available for just about any appliaction and engine make.
Two options:
1. Hardfacing - Welding up stock lobes (if VTEC, mid only) to allow unlimited spec while maintaining stock base circle. Cost $40 per lobe plus $100 per cam for the grinding. VTEC weld is only on mid lobe (8 lobes + grinding = $520 total). You supply stock cores. VTEC specs listed above are available on hardfaced cores. Full drag race, road race, turbo or nitrous. No wear or compatibility issues.

2. Straight regrind- Reduced base circle allows more lobe lift. Limited spec, emphasis on top end power. Typical specs are .005" to .010" more lift, 5 to 10 degrees more duration at .050" and about 5-10 more hp depending on engine mods. You supply stock cores. May require lash caps.[hr]
As for rods, you can also order custom billet or titanium rods from Pauter Machine.

From pauter.com:
Quote
[hr]"Our usual policy as to in-stock and custom built rods is a bit different from other manufacturers. We gear our production towards the custom, made-to-order end of the spectrum, stocking only a few "popular" sizes. From both the manufacturer's as well as the customer's point of view, this policy has its advantages. Even in identical situations, two different builders will often have differing ideas as to optimum rod specifications. Multiply this example by the myriad forms, classes, even sub-classes of racing out there, and custom parts in reality become the norm instead of the exception. We acknowledge this, and our rod program is geared to provide a high level of custom service as standard practice. We are CNC and CAD proficient, all tooling and production has been streamlined to handle one-offs as easily as multiple quantity orders. The upside is that any set of dimensional specs are OK, and turnaround on our chrome-moly rods is usually 4 to 5 weeks from the original processing of your order. Costs to you are the same, unless upgrades such as special bolts or non-production processing are requested. On-shelf items are as stated above, limited to a minimum number of popular repeat sizes."[hr]
Now, dont BBQ me, these are solely the claims of the advertisers....just thought I'd share this info, since most of y'all are always bitchin' that there are no cams or rods available for our cars yet.
