any damage?

Well after months of waiting to get my car back from getting the K put in, I finialy get it back monday. On my way home i hit a bump on the interstate and herd somthing fall through the motor, Kinda like they droped a socket or somthing like that, but i didint really pay it any attention. So when i get closer to my house my buddy behind me notices that there is a puff of smoke comeing from my car ever now and then. So i pull over at the first gas station and start looking and sure enough something was leaking from what looked to be power stearing line, and was dripping on the exhaust and burning off. Well after two days of driving and lifting my car up every day after work trying to find where its leaking from, i finally found it. The idiots at the shop left the filler bolt on the tramisson loose and that what i heard fall out. I hope the tramission i ok. I really havent driven it that much just back and forth to work. Yesterday i noticed that it was getting kinda of hard to put into first gear, so that what made me check the plug, and sure enough it was gone. Do you guys thing that there was any damage caused to the tranny? Or will simply just filling it with fluid and it will be allright. The shop sent a tow truck last night. They all ready told me they will replace the tranny it is needed.

as long as it's refilled you should be ok, once the fluid works it way through the gears and whatnot.
