About this whole DH love/hate thing

Let me begin by saying that my opinion on the matter is neutral. Im not "on there nuts" as one member put it, nor am I on the recent lets hate on them kick.

Everyone is entitled to there opinions and I can respect them. I just dont think we should all start bashing them untill we get some dyno results wich I will be working on as soon as my car is back in one piece.

I was willing to put up the money to be a "guinea pig" If my dyno numbers suck then Im out a nice chunk of change and there reputation on this site is ruined.....If my dyno numbers are impressive then there in for some business and I spent my money well.

So untill then can we just chill out a little? I dont want a potential supplier of great parts to leave b/c of our post.

I'm in the same position. But yeah, the dyno results will either make or break DH on this site. I'm hoping the numbers are good.

i don't hate DH racing and i like josh, he is doing good things for us. But they are makin false claims about thier cars.....saying they will break this world record, and that world record.

2 months ago they claimed to have a pro stock car that went low 10's and was going to run 9's. Never saw any proof that the car even existed.

And now they have a 10 sec. all motor street car that we have no proof of.

I started out only having one issue with them and then it escalated into several issues.

My first issue was the fact that they made rediculous horsepower claims without any dyno time to back it up. I sure as hell wouldnt buy something that someone "claims" is great for my car. I mean that's great you are Dave Hickman you have a fast Honda but I can name a shitload of others too. Using your name to sell untested parts is rediculous.

My second issue derives from the first issue. Since they dont bother to fully test any of their products, they are selling parts that are having fitment issues. Rather than have the part shipped back for a better fitting one, HEY lets make a fuggin spacer.

1.) DH Racing Crank Pulley - Without spacer it rubs on a sensor.
2.) Intake Mani - Without spacer it doesnt fit.

Answer this question for me. If you don't go through a rigorous R&D with a product how do you know its weaknesses and its strengths? Can you say that your product is as efficient as it could possibly be performance wise? Porting is a science that requires specific knowledge of all of the variables for a specific application to maximize efficiency. To this day have they even dynoed a head on an N/A D17????

They know what they need to do to stop this ****.....DYNO and PROOVE...I don't care who you are.

I don't hate DH - just the fact that they are attempting to sell things based on experience with previous generation civics with (as stated above) no testing or tuning on the D17. KMS manifold, case and point.....and he won't even return emails (I've emailed them asking what their thoughts are on the fact that their manifold design sucks @ss).

If the dynos which the members of 7th gen are getting show gains than cool, DH's work will be proven, and we can all get off their back - until than I still will remain skeptical...

Show me a DH intake manifold/throttle body combo for the D17 that makes 30 whp and I'm sold. I'm serious.

Yup. I'll post a dyno of just the head and pulley on a stock civic once I get everything installed and tuned with VAFCII.

I woul hate to see the children we have complaining on this site run off the few people who are trying to develop stuff for our cars.

I know they are making some money. But at the same time they do not have to monitor this board 24/7 to answer every complaint from people who do not even order thier products..

I have yet to see an actual customer of DH-racing complain about lack of service. ya there has been a couple of small problems. But at least they are taking care of us..

I am not complaining> I spent alot of money on I/H/E only to get about 5hp...
I know the products that DH is selling will put out more than that.

I think people are being childish about this. If you aren't a customer of DH why are you complaining.

Because peddling untested/unproven products is unacceptable and against forum rules. On that note, wanna buy an electric supercharger?

Im almost falling into this side. Seeing how as i live in canada and our money is pretty much worthless I dont see myself spending 150+ us dollars for it to be something thats usless and wont improve anything. I also would like to see some proof before i chose what i will do.

On slicks or street tires? I was referring to DOT approved radials lol..

I dunno it just seems really hard to pull off being that traction is an issue.

If you're that confident that your T25BB can take you there, then Godspeed!
