About this whole DH love/hate thing
=) - I think that I am going more twords head work than turbo. I figure that you can always add a turbo later.
I just looked at Alaniz, $675.00 for a street/track head work. Is that good? Also, the D17 motor is not listed. I will keep looking.

The ported head is good quality work. Almost everything i have seen from Dave in person has been badass. James' fully built B16 looks better than the pictures shown above. Nachos built F23 is the same way. But thats only the fully built, sleeved, etc, etc, etc motors.

I also have 2500 sitting in Josh's hands right now for a turbo shortblock. Hopfully it works out ok. I think my setup will be the breaker in this whole issue.

dude 2500 bucks and ur getting an engine with a block guard?
lemmie see.. 500 TOPS for the engine ok rather 500 for the block say.
so ur saying it costs 2k for someone to put rods, pistons, hammer a 75$ block gaurd in , and what its gettting shot peened too?
for the 2500 ur spending , i would have just gotten the block u have now SLEEVED for 1k .. taken the other 1500, bought rods, pistons, and have the crank shaved and lightened.. but thats just my 2 cents.

Lmao... osoboosted that's a great imodacon, haven't seen that yet.
But osoboosted has a good point, seems pricy to me. I had my old d16 sleeved, rods, pistons and shaved the crank for about 2k.

Believe me bro some people will take offense even though you are looking out for them. Maybe MadWheel will get one of the good builds Catalyst spoke of? We can only hope.

i just dont wanna see him 2500 later with a motor that isnt worth the money he put into it performance wise.

dang prod.... took me about five minutes to load those pics with my speedy dial up.
But I agree with Osoboosted. I've seen a lot of motors that look like crap and run real nice.

Well Prod and I checked the head out somemore. And guess what. Junk. Its been decked and they messed it up. Add a head gasket and all its going to do it leak. Lets see, it has groves all in it. And the Crower Stage 3 cam that he got with it, is not a crower stage 3 cam. Infact its used. And I could cut my hand off with it its in such bad shape. So the head is useless. It was suppose to be new and buffed and everything. It looks like **** up close.
Looked at the Block some more today. Its got metal shavings all on the inside of it. The Block will have to be dipped and cleaned out before it can be used. This is total BS. Honestly its the shittiest work I've ever seen in my life.

I just got my head in today, but the digicam doesn't have batteries now. I'll be posting pics later and I hope some of you can help me decide whether to put it in or not.

- I heard that their work wasn't top shelf, but thats crazy, esp for the price you paid!!
