Well for vtec, u have to switch the head, ECU and i forget what else. It really isn't worth it on our cars for the price. And as far as swapping a tranny, you may pick up a used for for a few hundreds bucks and if you can do the swap urself then u will save some bucks.
But IMHO, ur best bet is to trade ur car back in on a M/T EX if this is what you want.

^^^ yeah basically what he said.
the money you put into swapping the head, you prob. could just buy a d17a2 Engine.
try carparts.com for the tranny if you really want it.
or just trade the car in for a M/T
or look for a d17a2 engine that comes with a M/T

the tranny, OK - maybe. it would be expen$ive, but I understand. The engine would only be a bit more HP, so is really not worth it.
If you did put a vtec into another model it may be a touch faster casue there would not a a moonroof and stuff... thats all. Lots of work tho.
instead of gettigna new tranny you could look into torque(sp) converters, those are supposed to help alot on autos.
I believe yssy or somthing like that has one
(sorry I cant remember his exact name at the moment!!!)
