I think its for the knock sensor. It comes off of the top of the turbo and I decided to run it up instead of under because when I ran it under, it was kind of tight... actually, I think i ran it above because when I ran it under most of the wire was around the headers/downpipe/midpipe and didn't want it to overheat or what not. I hope it doesnt matter which way I ran it...

the fit was good. the only thing I had a really hard time puttin on was the pipe that went from the turbo to the intercooler... BUT that was only because I got the upgraded turbo which is bigger... Mike said they are comming out with a fix so I am not worried... Because it is a tight fit, the coolant hose is somewhat pinched but I havent had any temperature problems... yet... Stafford rocks... period. They are always there to help me even when they are so busy. I know i must annoy them... haha

Unhappy Sorry Robb....

Sorry Robb for hi-jacking this thread, but I needed to let everyone here know that I have a complete SF Power Turbo kit for sale in the ForSale/Trade forums for $2,000.00. It comes with everything and slightly used. I have not gotten to put it on yet, as it's still coming to me from Derek-CEO. But I am going through a rough time and need to re-sell it ASAP.

Once again I am sorry Robb.

Well Robb, I got my SF kit on today...everything is running smooth except my midpipe can't screw in all the way to the down pipe off the turbo...the bolts hit the pipe because it's much fatter than the stock down pipe, sooo i have a lil gap. I'm gonna try and cut the springs down on the bolts to see if that works, if not i need to find a bolt in that same pitch etc...noew my check engine light is on, i hope it's because of the exhaust leak

is your regulator kinda loud?mine is...constant humming...is this normal?

so far i have it up to 4 psi while i break it in, will move up to 6 in a day or so...pulls hard, i'm officially a boosted convert, thanks mike...i will up load some pics soon...as for the dyno, you'll get it when you get it

cool. im glad you got it in. can you give me a diagram of where the wires go on the relay on the fuel system? im getting it back today and i need to know where all the wires go. thanks mav. as for it being loud... that is supposedly normal... it is the vibrations passing through to the body. i think Mike said that if we put a rubber washer between the mounting, it will be less noisey. i had a check engine light. i went to the dealership.. it was running to rich but that was good... but i did get rid of it by resetting my ecu again and leaving the car idle for like 10 min to be sure... if thats not it then yea its probably because of the pipe not connecting... your o2 sensor is in your cat.

Welcome to the family.

my red wire went right to battery, green to ignition under steering column and black to a ground...my friend jason wired it up while i was cutting my bumper so i didn't see exactly where he grounded it...

yeah, mine was running a lil rich last night but not too much

Hey Ken, I'm glad you got it running fine last night. Maybe shorter bolts will fix that exhaust problem, you can probably still use the same springs.

here's a question for you turbo owners, since our cars were running 32 - 35 mpg, how many miles to the gallon do you get now with your turbo, since your running more fuel and all?

The thing to remember is that you're only consuming more fuel under boost so if you don't run it hard, you should retain very close to stock numbers.
