At about what psi would the external wastegate be effective, or needed?

generally on an import you would benefit from an external wastegate at around 275-300 whp. It does not depend on psi, it matters on the amount of exhaust flow. And exhaust flow is pretty much proportional to whp.

hey catalyst i don't know if this was in here and i missed it, but how much would ya'lls kit be for an auto w/ the tranny cooler? Also are the gains just as good with the auto as the manuals is?

Well, we dont sell the tranny coolers. But you can get them from autozone or pep boys for pretty cheap.

But the percentage gains are about the same as the 5 speed. And the people who have the autos that got our kit seem to be pretty impressed with the gains. Even the HX guys with the CVT trannys.
