Anyone know any good excellent camcorders out there? I'm in the market for buying one....i got my eye set on sony's DCR-HC21 . My price range is under 600 or even better, anything under 400. I want something that records just on a DV tape or a memory stick. Any brand is cool, but i'm told to stay away from sony, canon would be the best...but whatevers ya'll have an opinion i'd be really interested to check it out. thankkkkkksss Ohh and still imaging is coo, doesn't need to be a 3.0 mp or above camera

Can anyone hook it up with a discount or something at bestbuy or any electronic shop? As the above topic is posted im trying to look for a digital camcorder and just shopping around for some good deals. I was hoping to get it at a best buy or circuit city, if anyone can help out that'd be great! thanks!!!

get a panasonic gs150, its gonna have the absolute best picture quality in the 600$ range due to its 3ccd's. i mean you cant go wrong with a sony or a canon tho, they both have great reliability and decent picture quality. but yea im in the same market as you pretty much and from what ive read in reviews and from personnal testimony from one of my friends who works at a camera shop and has used pretty much everything on the market the gs150 is the way to go if you have like 600$. anyway heres some good resources if you wanna check out reviews in stuff if youre still not sure:
