3 kills for 03 lx vs 99 civic dx, 98 legacy awd
A friend of mine, knew a kid who was making a video for his high school drivers ed class. So he did it on street racing. So I said i'd join him and his friends for the video. I just got my 17'' motegi mr7s w/ toyo proxies on yesterday, and i cleaned it today. I got a revo ss, magnaflow catback, 17'' motegi, apr wing, and tyc tails.
So we decided to take the video camera and line up a few races. When I got there, i thought i'd only race my friend who had the 99 hatchback dx. He had an intake, system, rims, auto, muffler, spark plugs, and his gf in the car. We lined it up on this back road and they got the camera out and started to tape. We counted off 1, 2, 3, gas! I started at about 2000 rpm. Then i dropped the clutch and just went. Never smoked the tires. We were pretty much neck and neck, i was a little ahead of him at the top of 1st at about 7000. Then I changed into 2nd and the car just jerked ahead and his front was at my door with the exhaust screaming. Then by the top of 2nd, i was a half car length or so ahead of him, cuz i could see him in my rear view. We lined up once again and this time i told him to start ahead of me, and again the same result, i was ahead by a car and a half.
Then the kid who was videotaping, got his subaru legacy awd out. He had an intake, auto, and muffler. So we lined it up. I gave him like a fender head start, cuz i was in auto and the road wasn't really flat, so when i let go of the brake i creeped up, but didn't go ahead of him. Someone flagged us, and then we went. I let go of the clutch and gassed it again to 7000. Then i shifted. I was like neck and neck. Once i hit second, his front was at my wheel. By the time i hit 3rd gear he was left in the dust. We kept racing to the end to about mid 4th, still way ahead. Then i shut it down. Not much of a long stretch of road, but upto like 80-90 im guessing. 3-0. 3 kills for 7thgen!
