Re: Sohc to dohc help!!!!!
Sure. Just swap that d17 for a K20 (or K24 for that matter) and you're set

Re: Sohc to dohc help!!!!!
That's pretty much my way of saying the only way to do the SOHC to DOHC is to do a swap..
And I'm not criticizing or anything, but if you're looking to make power with a D17, 2g's would probably be the minimum you'd have to spend to make decent power..

Re: Sohc to dohc help!!!!!
It really just sounds like you have a bit of learning to do with a 7thgen.. Stick around these forums and ask a lot of questions if you can't find what you're looking for via the search function. There are still a good amount of people to learn from.
Re: Sohc to dohc help!!!!!
If you want a DOHC in your 01 civic then the k swap is what your are looking for. The only other would be a bseries and if I am not wrong they are harder to swap in your car than a k series. The k series is one of the newest motors and they are the best. And first off you are wanting to swap your car so it is going to be expensive, hell car modding itself is expensive so dont think getting alot of power is going to be cheap.

Re: Sohc to dohc help!!!!!
like ^^ said, modding itself is, indeed, expensive, but do look for deals. But don't do so at the expense of sacrificing too much quality of the products. That's how the stereotypical "rice rocket" is made.
