haha, that was a nice run. I ran a Nova the one and only time I was at the track, it was not near as quick as the one in the vid. though. The basterd redlighted on me, but I reeled him in to win by a 1/4 of a car in the end. These guys were far more respectful than the people that were at this track though. The Nova drivers buddy even talked with me a bit after the run, just to assure himself that I was not stock LOL

I wouldn't mind driving either car, but I would prefer the earlier gen Nova (66-67).

That nova was slow, but that s2000 had i pretty good time 12.22@113 w/ a 1.9x 60ft. i really want to run him, it be a real good/close race to bad he lives about 1000 miles away from me.

but ya there nothing like the sound of a cammed V8.

To Kevin it is. (SlowSS). Novas have a much higher potential than that.

sounds mean nothing. v8's sound good, but the lowly 4 cylinder can sound great to learned ears.

I love the sound that a dual exhuast V8 can produce and I don't expect a civic to ever sound like that but is there any muffler/exhaust system that adds a couple of horsepower without making the civic sound like a go kart?

the rsr somethin or other (someone will know it) i believe is the way to avoid the raspy leafblower, while having all the 1 or 2 horsies added in some mid-upper range worthlessness

My car dyno's 357rwhp @ 7200 rpm's but it shifts at 6500 so it only uses about 349rwhp of it. and it puts down 387rwtq @ 4200rpm's

^depends on the engine... i think later 60's were 327's/350s with up to 350hp, but numbers from the factory were underrated back then. also had 396's... would a safe estimate from an average nova be around 260-270 at the wheels?
