D15 vs. D17A2
This wasnt my race, but I have a friend with a 01 auto EX with Injen SRI, filter is filthy black, and another friend that has a 94 DX hatch auto, stock. Both have some ICE but nothing too heavy. I wasnt there, but I was told the D15 won....... has anyone have that kind of result?
Well, as for myself, I raced a 5thgen Accord today.. bastard driver had to keep less than 1/2 car distance while on the local roads... in the rain! So on the highway I let him pass me and yeah... that would be the 2nd 4 cylinder Accord I have beaten.

good dangerous kill in the rain? i guess. lucky you didn't crash. if the d15 is a stock auto and the d17 SRI'd with a shitty filter. the filter would make a difference. i think so anyway.

yes, it was dangerous in the rain. That was stupid of me, I even slipped out shifting from 2nd to 3rd and to 4th. But it was a fairly short "race"...more like 45-75MPH.

I have a D15B VTEC swap into my 95 coupe with an A/T and all it has is a CAI. It's actually pretty darn fast for a shitbox. It would pull my D17 non-VTEC 5 spd. I bet most of the gain is in the weight of the cars. The 95 is hundreds of lbs lighter than the 7th gen.
maybe the d15b vtec would have a chance against a d17. but with my hatch that had the d15b7 (non-vtec) auto in it i raced my friends 2001 lx sedan and lost. we both launched pretty good at the start but i was leading a bit. soon after it shifted to 2nd he was gaining. by 80 i was a car length behind him and by that time it seemed like i wouldnt be able to pass him so i let off.
