slips or scans, either or.

I'm fairly open minded when it comes to some things

You are correct about the Auto's being much closer to the manuals now that they are 5-speed, but even so, the auto will inherently be less capable of all out launches as well as lose a little more power to the wheels than a manual. That is why I say the 05 Manual will go high 14's. Also, you're right, that average for a GT would be low 14's, but high 13's are definately possible.

Well I posted the article on my cardomain site on p.6 if you want to check it out. It might be kinda hard to read, but the Bullitt went 13.5@102.xx. The trap is certainly very 13's capable, but it certainly helps when you can pull a 1.7xx 60'

I just realized ... aren't Bullitt's 305 crank hp (underrated) and dohc though ... ? while the GT's are 260 hp, sohc?

The Mach 1 is DOHC, the Bullitt is merely a special edition GT w/ a new intake manifold and suspension stuff along w/ some exterior and interior mods.
It is officially rated at 265hp, only 5 more than the stock GT.

hm. after some thought, it may seem feasible ... but like you said, not common.

I guess that could kinda relate to how this guy a LONG time ago on here who ran a 15.8x with a bone stock ex ... and nobody believed him. But in that case, there are definitely more people drag racing (i.e.) stock mustangs than there are stock civics

Yeah, I was actually reconsidering and thinking about that a little after I posted.

Yeah...I agree with that too...haha. Or at least I've heard of people that say they've reched high 13's in a GT. Personally I wouldn't know.
