04 vp vs 05 rsx base

the race was between a friend of mine (05 rsx base manual, with aem v2, system and heavy 18's). Against me (04 vp aem sri, stripped trunk, manual) At first me and my other friends thought he would own me. So off we went. I got a better launch and pulled a lil in first. Then amazingly i pulled about a fender in 2nd. before and after 3rd i was still pullen and he let off. I couldnt believe it and i said u wanna go again. I launched at 3000 and same outcome. I won by about 1-2 cars. Then he said lets go again. I said sure and same outcome lol. People started doubting his skills so he let my friend race me in his car and it was a lot closer but i still won. I still dont know how i won. I know the 18s and system make a diff but i thought k20a3's pulled a lil better especially on top end. What do u guys think. Besides my bro's 7thgen and my neighbors t-bird this was my first true race.

I raced a SI with my civic. I had a member in the car (more weight), missed a gear, and still pulled about 3 cars when I let off. Although I have alot more mods than you and have a EX. I can for shure see this with a DX vs the base with the auto shifter, but I don't know about another 5spd. Why would you BS though good kills

Civic_RedLine will become famous soon enough
the driver must have been a newbie. What do you think of him. Do you know the rsx driver? did he barely learn how to drive stick?

I won't call BS, but the base is a mid 15sec car (from crsx). Good kill, you beat the driver.

I dont get it how you guys stip things in your cars....I wouldnt be able to do that...I have white leather seats and 18" Cobras and I wouldnt get smaller rims and take my leather off just to race or whatever...I rather pimp it and still be fast...but thats on you guys..

before the race he admitted he still hasnt got the hang of launching his car. Yeah thats why i posted it. His car runs 15's all day or at least with a good driver and I should have lost bad. Yeah i know the rsx driver we are pretty good friends, and he can drive stick but off a line he needs more practice. I probably will show him how i launch and then race again to see how the outcome is. Yeah even my friend watching said that i beat the driver not the car.

well I believe it. There's only a 30whp or so difference and the rsx is alot heavier plus bigger rims kill acceleration from a stop. That and he couldn't launch well made you win.

btw we ran again today and same results. I guess it is the driver because we even went off a 1st gear roll and the outcome was worst
