Rep Power: 271 First time at track with 50 shot
I went to the track today for the first time to try out my NX Wet kit 50 shot. In my 2 years of racing this was probably one of my worst launches. Felt like I was trying to launch on ice and I tried my best to regain traction by babying the throttle and what not. Sprayed in first once I got traction but wasn't enough to make up for lost time. Here's my slip:
R/T .105
60' 2.702
330' 6.734
1/8 10.034
MPH 74.29
1000 12.879
1/4 15.280
MPH 95.04

Rep Power: 0 Your trap speed should be good for a low to mid 14 if you can get that 60ft down. I've hit a 2.7 before so don't feel bad. Did you try not spraying in 1st gear? What kinda tires were you running and what PSI? What was the temp?

Rep Power: 271 Man I just dunno what happened. I'm going to be thinking about that launch all week. I feel like garbage since Redline ran a freaking 15.1 N/A while im running 15.2 on a 50 shot haha.

Rep Power: 0 It's no big deal. It was 55 degrees when I ran my time and the track prep was awsome. Helps a little. Get that launch down and you got me beat. I only trapped at 90 compared to your 95 and I am a bit lighter and have DR's. If you cut the same 60ft as me you'd be at least 14.5 if not better. You say you were hooking up but judgeing by your 60ft it would seem you are slipping?? Only one run? Was it crowded or something. Whenever I go I get at least 10 runs in, but I'm there all day and it's not really that crowded most of the time. It was your first time on the N20 so don't feel bad. Get some more runs under your belt and I'm sure you'll knock those times down. I would say try not to spray in first next time and see what happens.

Rep Power: 271 Yea i mean i slipped in first gear and kept babying the gas until i just pretty much let off completely until i gained traction going about 20 mph in first then I hit the button. Yea the track I go to is national trail raceway which is a pretty famous track in the midwest and is always crowded with muscle cars on test and tune days. A bunch of hill billys with their IROC-Z's and stuff. I'm going to hopefully go back soon though and try to break 14's at least. Would 14.6 be decent with a 50 shot?

Rep Power: 0 On street tires I think it would be pretty good. Like 00celicagts6speed said get your 60ft down around a 2.2 and you should be there. I pulled a 2.2 on stock dunlops so with your Kuhmos you should be able to do it. Get some Dr's later on and you could possibly see low 14's.
