I just saw somebody using WD40 and a brush to clean up the inside of the engine bay (on this forum probably) and it worked really well without damaging the original paint.

Nice work though, again.
Yea i saw that one guy too. He had a ef or crx don't remember but it was the same engine bay it came out really nice. I was thinking spraying degreaser and the some soapy water after that and the dry it up with a cloth. Maybe after that i will use the wd40 to shine it a bit.

The car was for my girl at first. Then i drove it and loved it.
It is not powerful or the best looking car in the world but just driving it gave a unexplainable joy and feeling in my soul. And know working on it have made me fall in love with it.

Who knows how far i will that this.

Here is the link i saw for that wd40 engine bay cleaning dont know it that was the same one you say stock 99

Damn man, if I had the luxury of having the engine out I would clean that thing up like brand new and then I would either polish it or wax it. I mean really how many times you going to have the engine out to do that?

I took my tappet cover off last summer and hit it with degreaser and a brush a couple times. When I got all the crap of I just used a polisher on a drill to give it some finish. The before and after pics are in my 'Introduce Yourself' thread if you want to check it out. It still looks pretty much the same 6 months later.

pics here....

Just make sure you plug all the inlets into your engine really good before you start spraying degreaser around.

Yeah, that's the same WD40 thread I was talking about... Hard to believe it's that good.
